SEOUL, Kr. – If there’s Comic-Con for comic fans, there’s also KCON for K-pop supporters.

KCON (Korean wave convention) 2017 is one of the most-awaited events for many K-pop fans around the world. It’s an annual convention that features Korean pop music and culture. This year, Australia will host the last stop for the said event. The festival will run with the theme, “Let’s KCON.”

This is the first time that the country will host the highly-anticipated K-pop event. The convention will take place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, from Sept. 22, Friday, until Sept. 23, Saturday.

Among the groups that will perform in Australia are “Ko Ko Bop” singers EXO, Cosmic Girls, Wanna One, Monsta X, Up10tion, Girls’ Day, Pentagon, and SF9.

Currently, KCON 2017 has been to three places around the world. Their first stop was in Mexico, where KCON was held last March. The event was also held in Japan and New Jersey last May and June. This month, KCON will be in Los Angeles from Aug. 19, Saturday, until Aug. 20, Sunday.
