SEOUL, Kr. – Yesterday, BTS member Jungkook’s (Jeon Jeong-guk) photo went viral because fans assumed that the bouquet of flowers he was holding in the picture was the band’s concept for their upcoming project.
Because the BTS (Bangtan Boys) love their fans so much, the group announced their upcoming project “Love Yourself,” but in a unique way. The Korean idol group told their fans about the “Love Yourself” project ahead of the release of their new songs in September.
How Did They Release This Concept?
They posted a fake poster on Twitter, which features Jungkook. In the said poster, Jungkook is sitting in a wheelchair while holding a bouquet of flowers. The conceptual series “Love Yourself” is the beginning of a new era for the famous Korean boy band.
This is their first press release since the group won at the Billboard Music Awards last May. This is also their first original music since “You Never Walk Alone,” which is the follow up to the “Wings” album. Both music albums were on the Billboard 200 chart.
Since the beginning, BTS has highlighted specific themes for every album that they have made, from “School” to the “Wings” series.
BTS’s Rap Monster gave a hint about the latest concept of the band’s comeback after they received the BBMA award. In his speech, he told the BTS ARMY to “love myself, love yourself.”
What Should Fans Expect from Them?
Jungkook’s fake poster, which features him in sitting in a wheelchair and holding some flowers, is only the first of several hints that they will give. BTS will give more clues until the day of the conceptual series’ release. It looks like BTS fans will enjoy searching for new clues in the coming days.
“Love Yourself” is scheduled to be released next month. However, according to Big Hit Entertainment, the company that manages BTS, there’s no confirmation about the band’s next album format. All we can do is wait and watch out for the latest updates from BTS.
